Harold and Maude Review
On your Blog, write a short review of Harold and Maude. Address your feelings about the movie in terms of the main characters (Harold, Maude, Harold's Mother, Harold's Uncle, Harold's Psychiatrist), the production(Sets, soundtrack, editing, pacing) and the story.
They both meet by being at funerals. Maude is 79 years young, and Harold is almost an adult. Harold's mother is always trying to find him a companion and make him look good for her benefit. Harold stages many suicidal attempts because he's fascinated with death. It seems that Maude is a Holocaust survivor.
My feelings toward Harold are he is a young adult that is fed-up with his mothers ideals of what she wants him to be, and fakes his death numerous time to try and serve a point, while his mother never stops trying
I think Harold's mother is really shallow because she doesn't show a whole lot of attention to Harold, and keeps setting him up with unsuitable dates.
Harold's uncle who is a general in the US Army, who is convinced that of of Harold's problems can be fixed if he joins the military. He acts like he above all, when Harold actually doesn't need to be in the military.
I think certain angles captured different emotions of the movie. Also the story was a little bit slow paced when it came to the story line. I liked the music and how it went well with the movie, and the time period matched with the soundtrack as well.
