"Gift" Video Responses

1) Describe what the main concept or "big idea" behind the video is. That a small family adopts a young girl, and they accept her into the family, and soon you begin to see she is separated from the family and it sets up the scene to let you know that she isn't actually a girl, but a dog. And the young girl is equally portrayed as a responsibility to take care of, and that was the endings big idea. 2) What is the emotional tone of the video..Happy? Sad? Optimistic? There were clues like how when they adopted her she wasn't allowed to eat dinner at the table with them, and the dad and daughter were throwing a ball and left her behind. In A Close Shave there are many elements expressed in the film. The title correlates with the fact that there is a sheep put through a machine that trims away most of its wool and leaves him smaller than the others.  The plot is shown that they live in a small house in the city and wallice and gromit clean windows for a living. The motif is the sheep and the fact that they keep turning up when they were suppose to be taken away.  The characterization is that wallice and gromit are a constant in the entire film and make it come together when their conflicts are either compromised or solved.  Most of the scenes are fairly similar throughout the storyline, and they appear at both the beginning and end of the film. In the sets the locations were in a small countryside town. It was filmed in a studio for stop motion.
